That’s the Biggun.
I bought it from eBay 15ish years ago for $200.

It’s aged beautifully.

...like honey, like buttah...:roflmao:

Probably a bass from Korea.
It’s Never been plugged into Anything.

Does anyone recognize the logo?
I’ve never been able to put a ‘brand name’ to it...not that that matters a damn.

I don’t recognize the logo. It looks look a nice instrument. I don’t suppose there is any indication inside the body. An inspection with a mirror and bright light, even of it didn’t have any identification, would provide information on the quality of the build: glue seepage, brace shaving/contouring, bridge plate, neck attachment, etc.

Back from vacation and it was OUTSTANDING. Lost count of the Bloody Marys and Pina Coladas. Weather was perfect all week. Hit the ocean every day. Rocking chairs on a porch where I could have my feet overhanging the Boardwalk. Found the best crab cakes in the world. If you can make it to Ocean City Md, go hit a place called The Taphouse on the boardwalk between 4th and 5th street. Yeah , there are a lot of places around the bay and the ocean that serve pretty darn good ones , but as someone that has tried them all these are the best I have ever had.
Sounds like my slice of heaven! Glad you enjoyed your vacation. One of these days, I'll get back to OC. In the meantime, this sign on US 50 in Sacramento is as close as I get:

Yes, the sign is real.

Rufus liked dog songs, in addition to Walking the Dog, he did Can Your Monkey Do The Dog, The Dog, Somebody Stole My Dog, Can't Get Away From This Dog and Stop Kicking My Dog Around. Other animals include the Funky Chicken and Do The Penguin.

His daughter is Carla Thomas, a well known R&B singer.

The Stones on their first album, The Who and many many others recorded this song. A tribute to Rufus.

The song starts off with the wedding march. Walking the dog is a term that has different meanings. Many wonder about this song....

Happy Soulful Sunday...

Yerp. I love me some Rufus (and Carla, for that matter). His career as a DJ was invaluable as a promoter of Memphis Soul (and secret integrationist).

I still here but again disheartened. Replied to two more bass player wanted ads. Neither replied.

Went onto my Facebook page for the first time in a couple of years. I found posted on there pictures that I didn’t post. One is a picture of when a pair of bass players wanted to ‘sit in with the band.’ They were being auditioned to replace me. Both used my bass. I told you about this a while ago. I couldn’t see how to delete them so I decided just to close out Facebook - couldn’t figure how to do that either! :(

That sucks. :banghead:

Re: ...close out Facebook - you mean it's like Hotel California?

I've never opened a FB account, never will. Esp. after hearing your experience.

It's really thin out there. I responded to a couple of ads a few weeks ago. Was very excited about one prospect and wrote a long email detailing how I'd be a perfect fit. The response? One sentence. "We'll let you know one way or the other." Like, hello? Did you even read what I wrote, or was my femininity enough to send you into a state of shock? Or maybe my age? Or maybe I work with someone in town that you don't like?

Sometimes I just don't get it.

My bro-in-law has been applying for(regular)jobs. People don't even acknowledge they received the application. I guess that's how things are done these days.:eyebrow::rollno:

These days, it seems to come down to having a word of mouth connection to get your foot in the door.
