I'm happy with it. Got home, applied my own products, strategically applied the straightening iron, and this was the end result. I'll go lighter with it over time but I'm pretty happy to have found someone who can cut curls well.

Rad!

Your hair looks excellent! You be rockin' the stage LBS!

We have become so politically correct we're scared of our own shadows. I remember moving to Seattle and one of my first jobs was mail delivery boy in a business that housed three stories of workers. I'm not any Brad Pitt but when I was delivering the first day the women were commenting on me, and it felt odd. I ended up dating a few of the ladies at the office-- who winked at me lol.

That was a million years ago. I actually wonder how young people signal to each other that they are attracted to each other. Either way either gender can scream harassment nowadays.. sheesh what a different world we live in now. I never condoned or condone now any form of sexism but I feel the pendulum has swung a bit to far in the wrong direction....

More people apparently meet through dating sites than by any other means these days. It beats at work, through family or friends, and church. First thing after getting the required details, they google one another. Then there are services that perform in depth searches, including criminal records, etc. Then if all checks out, a first meeting in a pubic space is scheduled. This may be videoed by a third party. There are exit strategies in place based on signals.

That’s their story anyway.

Man, to hear the tales told by my children, ex-spouses, friends, and acquaintances - I am so glad I am nowhere near the hell that is modern day dating. Yet another thing to be grateful for!

Some advertisers were pretty clueless.

or at least hoping it was cluelessness.
I had the idea(a few years ago)of marketing a semi-disposable drink cooler with a pair of lips as a logo. It was to be called the Besame Cooler. Besame is Spanish for 'kiss', cooler sounds like culo which is(Cuban)Spanish for a.., er, uh, posterior.

Take the Chevy Nova, no va translates into not going. The car sold well in Mexico despite the name.

Besame Mucho didn’t keep things cool.

I always thought that the Fender lines were supposed to be based on an pear or hourglass shaped woman’s body. Something about subliminally marketing to males.

My most important and lasting personal connections all took place at cruising altitude. Can't say if that's for everyone.

Unrelated (or maybe not, depending on POV) in a highly uncharacteristic moment, cut the index finger of my left hand as I peeled ginger. The champagne bottle was open, but none in me at that moment. There is now

And I learned from Cheech and Chong "pendejo" means "good friend"

Calling foul on the "headstock art" title. Expected actual art on headstocks. An inlay or two, I saw. Knowing this crowd, though .... I mean, how do you tell a fellow that Cheryl Tiegs poster isn't winning any points (except a discount at the door at the comic con) :: runs, ducks and covers :: Wanna impress me? Let's see that black light M.C. Escher poster. Oh wait forget that, show me two tickets to Jerry and The Boys and you have me.

I’ve heard that there’s a club for people the make personal connections on airplanes.

Got to fly a lot of miles.

Don't tell anyone (too late, sorry) there's this guy who asks me if I want to go to India with him, and he's into Bob Dylan ... and his unit was sent Kent State ....
