Ghs bass boomers

I used RS66LD RotoSound Stainless Steel Swing Bass 66 rounds E=105 for years, switched to GHS Boomers rounds of the same gauge (that are nickle plated BTW, right?), and went right back to the RotoSounds. Same amp and bass. Didn't like their sound. Frequencies were missing that I was used to. Feel and tension were about the same, however.

I'm running a 75 grabbed bass with an ampeg svt200t and an ampeg 8x10 my modulation includes a Bluebeard fuzz box and vintage rat. I'm looking for a very low tone sound with a very classic distorted breakup. I think the boomers will fair well when playing with a pick

Matters not to me as I'm happy with my string supplier(juststrings.com), but my favorite set of flatwounds(GHS) is $21.95 at Bass Strings Online, and $19.73 at Just Strings.

With the TB member discount they are the exact same price as Just Strings and shipping is half the price. That's what kills me about Just Strings....their shipping costs are generally outrageous.
