Hey Scott, thanks for the welcome. I've been here a few years but don't post a whole lot.

And vates, the NR bird has Dimarzio Model 1 pickups, so it's not original, but I can definitely see (hear) the family resemblance between the two when compared to my Rick and Carvins. Also it is more comfortable to play than I expected it to be.
 
I had a black Gibson RD Standard for years. I actually sold it to a friend, then traded some tools to get it back. But alas, I got laid off and thought I needed the money more than the bass, since I was hardly playing at that time. Sold it to a little music store in Clarence, New York(near Buffalo) called Main Music. Tried to go back later to see if he still had it, but it went the way of eBay to someone in Sweden(I think that is what he said). Anyway, it was heavy as a bus, but I still really, really wish I had it now:bawl:If this bass is in the arsenal of anyone on TB, it would be cool to see it again!!
