Gibson ? or not Gibson Anyone recognise?

Black on red is a really hard combination to beat. But I like the silver leaf too. I usually hate hate hate pickguards, but they look kinda cool on SGs. Just promise me you’ll use screws the same color as the guard...

I think black would be the best option as it will go with the bridge pick up surround.
If you're painting the neck red I would paint the face of the headstock black too, but that's just my preference.

Ok so I changed the guitar again went for a 3 colour sunburst in a Matt finish . Matt black neck with gloss pinstripe and yes I use stainless screws in correct colour for assembly. I’m finally over the moon with the way it looks and it bloody works to !!! Thanks for the inspiration everyone that advised me ;)

Very cool result! Great job on the burst, that's not an easy thing to do. The headless conversion works great, it's a cool blend of classic and modern. Probably really helps the balance too.

Whoa nelly, that is really classy looking! Nice job!

I just noticed the binding on the neck. It looked more beige in previous pix. Now it looks more like the color of the frets. Did you change or modify the binding or is that just the lighting doing that?

To be honest I ordered 2 different raspberry colours and didn’t like them alone . Ended up using 4 different reds layered up . Ur right doing this by hand by spray can was a mission but I’m pleased with result. ;)))
