Gig Bag recommendations. (High End)

I have had a mono Vertigo for five years and been very happy with it. Especially the top opening is perfect in cramped spaces. but it is now broken at a stupid place so if Mono area not fixing this i go for an other brand for replacement.
So good protection, top opening, light, backpack style straps, should fit a 34 with angeled headstock, and a lot of storage preferably. Price is not important but i dont want to purchase a case/gigbag again (so booring).
Suggestions are welcomed

Can it be sewn back together?

Have not checked yet
Have to admit that i got a bit pissed - stupidly
Repair is the best option of course
This is something that typically happens when the seam is too close to the edge of the fabric. It’s not something that should happen with a Mono case, especially in a load-bearing area. My guess is that this would be viewed as a manufacturing defect, and as such would be covered by the limited lifetime warranty. Contact Mono support, they’re usually very helpful in cases like this.

been using Reunion Blues for 15+years thru at least 3 series, still have em all. The advantage of the Continental is that the bass does not move at all, which happened w earlier series

Also have an M80 dual which has been used hard for 10+ years but never felt as protective as the RB. Have an RB Expedition dual on order which keeps getting backordered which could be worrisome....

as for the Protec never liked the handle at all vs the RB which is waaaay more comfortable if you're carrying it. Other than that the protection is ok and storage is great but for some reason it severely damaged the finish of a Nitro bass I had in storage. Caution there

Interested in getting the Expedition and the "tick" it can carry

It’s cool to hear someone actually uses one of those M80 doubles regularly. I’ve had one of those for about five years and only have used it a handful of times. You have to be a real brute 😃 to carry two basses in one of those regularly. If I have to bring two instruments, I prefer the portability of two different bags.

Wore it on my back which really wasn't too bad. Had to walk thru long parking lots and Casino's to get to stages. Also carried a small head to control my tone thru their IEM system. Two bags wouldn't do it for me

Still use it on most every gig now just for one stop shopping, but not walking nearly so far. It is well designed for its purpose

I’m using 2 Protec Contego cases that still look new after a couple hundred gigs and rehearsals (1 bass version and 1 guitar version for my headless 5s). Slim fitting, great neck and body protection, durable and a ton of storage.

I bought and returned several others from Mono and Gator before buying these.

Just clarifying the Protec was the one that damaged the finish of your bass?

Another couple of data points.
I have 2 headless basses with nitro finishes that live in ProTec Contego gig bags and have not experienced this phenomenon either.

Maybe an anomaly… perhaps other factors involved with regard to how/where it was stored?

Most definitely. Somehow "melted "the finish on the bottom of the bass and has to be repainted

Was stored inside in closet and admittedly not taken out for a month or two

My like response was for the helpfulness and not for what happened!

That is not good. A custom bass came with that bag. It's an oil finish but I can't say that I would be feeling secure with that bag.

Nitro finishes are the issue- nitro is volatile and sensitive to chemical reactions with things they are in contact with (particularly a newer instrument, as the finish can take a year or more to settle and still be reactive even after that)
