Gig report 21/4/18

Good on ya'!!
Glad to see anyone getting back down to business.
Looks like you were all enjoying the moment.

Now, a little bourbon and cigar talk.........
I like your Jazz bass and all , but..............
Tell me about that flaked out Strat with the Tele neck!!!
Gorgeous !!
C'mon, dish!!!!!:D
That's a partscaster. The body was a limited run Mexican, an American Tele neck, and some boutique lipstick pickups.

Good for you.

What's a Busholme?
The Busholme inn was built as a military hospital, but never saw service. It was an Inn, pubs, restaurants, and has even sat idle for a few years. The current owner has a cool vision as an entertainment complex. Half the hotel has been converted into a rock room, no diners telling everyone to turn down, no irate jocks watching the game, A ROCK ROOM. His plan, that is working, is bring touring acts into our little town, and single handedly put Erin Ontario on the map as an entertainment hotspot. House everything, to keep bands expenses down, he charges $30 to see top notch acts, in a room that seats 220, so every seat is a premium seat. In the works is live 4 camera stereo streaming (with a split mix, and production suite) on a pay-per-use (and a licensing agreement with the band) network to bring things global. This guy GETS IT!
He just had his one year anniv. and I'm glad to say- Every show has sold out.

Ha! I spot Reif in the pics. I played with him for a few years - stellar guy. Never expected his pic to pop up on Talkbass.
I played with Reif once, and we just clicked. We like a loose, just wing it, approach to the blues. We've been friends since, and can bang together a few great sets on a moments notice. It's too bad he's in Ottawa, cause we'd do it more often. Audiences love his stage antics too.

Glad to hear your comeback was a huge success.
Tell Dave Henman hello for me. I don't know if he will remember, but I used to hang out with him and his brother when he lived in St. John's circa 1969 (IIRC).
Sure will. David and I go back a long way. I have the greatest respect for him as an artist because he never rests on things he has done, he has to move forward. He gets asked all the time to do April Wine stuff, and simply says 'I've already done that, here's my new stuff.' Integrity.

Last night was my first headliner since un-retiring.

Hi Paulabass :)

Just remind him I am the short guy from Texas that played bass and jammed with him in his basement.
