Gigging Musicians: Cabinet Choice

Schroeder 15L (35lbs) or Barefaced Big Twin II (49 lbs).

GK 212 NEO on casters with cover - about 55 pounds. Rolls fine and has swing-out handles on each side. With the casters on it will fit in the back seat of my Toyota Avalon. Head is either a GK 500 fusion (about 4 pounds) or GK 550 fusion (about 30 pounds). Cab is fine rolling. Not so easy without help going up/down steps. For long steps I take the GK 500. For roll in I take the GK 550. I just lay bass and gear bag on top of the cab and push. Four - five shows per month.

This thread is for gigging musicians that carry their gear out 2 or more times a month... what size cab do you carry, and how much does it weigh?

Sunn 2000S 2x15. It's about four feet tall and weighs somewhere around 140-150 pounds. It has wheels, though, so I rarely "carry" it anywhere.

4lb GK MB800 into a 30lb Barefaced BB2. Killer rig - Plenty to carry any small/midsize room by itself (up to say, 200 people, probably bigger). I figure if it can drown out the drummer, it's loud enough. My gigs are in parts of the city where parking is scarce, so being able to toss it in a taxi in one trip is huge.

Schroeder 1212L (700w 2X12) Supposed to be 38 lbs., I think. Weighs less than the GK Fusion 550 head. If I need anything more (and I never do) I'll go direct.

My cab is an old Ampeg B25B with two new Eminence beta 15a's. Weight 120lbs. I find it easy to move with the wheels. Stairs I roll it up them like a rectangular wheel lol!

Pair of Ampeg SVT210-AV, 26 lbs each. Always have FOH support, so feh on the overly aggressive roll off.

Lol it works really well... No effort to get a 120 pound beast up flights of stairs solo.

Fearless f210 + genzler magellan, probably comes in 50lbs altogether. ok for small/ medium gigs. I usually use my genz Nx212 for larger gigs as it can go really loud and it's crazy light.. Very tempted by the Fearless f212, if I can be arsed with the extra weight, they sound top notch but come in like 65lbs I think.
