Ampeg SVT-410HLF at 75lbs. I'm kind of baffled by you guys who play with 115s or 210s. I can't always count on the PA for club/bar gigs here so I need enough power on stage and our drummer hits heavy.
What is the difference between a modern high-end 115 and say an Ampeg classic SVT cab? The Ampegs are constructed well with heavy duty void free polar plywood, baffling etc. Is it the difference in drivers? Unfortunately I doubt I will ever be able to afford even a small high end cab but I'm curious what sets them apart. If you spend the cash, a modern high-end 115 with a mid driver will be equivalent volume-wise to your 410.
