I am in the exact same situation. I am trying to downsize my rig to make it more portable. I also play through an Eden WT300. I was looking for 2 x 112's but I am eyeballing a pair of Eden TN110's. I like the weight, footprint and pricepoint ($399). Anyone have any thoughts on viability here for medium sized clubs? I mainly play passive 4 strings, fingerstyle, mostly rock/reggae material.

Tried an Acoustic BN112 at GC last week and came away impressed by the sound and the (lack of) weight. That the going price is $229 each makes me consider dumping a bunch of old gear to fund a pair.
I play through a Fearless F112 and Baer ML112. I don't want for anything. The F112 if you want a full range studio monitor type of sound that is huge. The Baer is just tons of real bass greatness, the smoothest cab I've ever heard.
Since this zombie thread has sprung back to life, I gotta say....

Very impressive and pretty much re-writes the rule book on small, light, and loud (including full in the low end) for me. The only trick is that to get the full effect you need to be able to feed it 400-500 Watts...and with today's great class D heads that's easy to do!
Genzler's BA12-3's are amazing. So good I bought two then sold my Berg NV215. Two 12-3's give me everything the NV215 did plus a bit more top end. One is great for rehearsals and smaller gigs.
Surprised me to. I originally bought the 12-3 just to use at smaller gigs and rehearsal cuz I got tired of lugging the NV215 to places that held 60 people and up and down the basement stairs. One 12-3 sounded so good I bought another and the NV never left the basement again. So I sold it to get other stuff. I had the NV215 for about ten years and swore, publicly here on TB, that I'd never sell it, ever. Never say never. Ever.
I agree that the Genzler BA12-3 should be on the list to consider. It is a killer cab.

With modern bass cabs/speakers IME there is no real difference other than lighter weight cabs. Of all the things that go into voicing a bass cab, type of magnet on the driver(s) is pretty far down the list IMO.
An argument could be made that Neo magnet material allows for some motor design trade space flexibility that you wouldn't have with a larger ceramic magnet. Folks like @agedhorse and @DukeLeJeune could offer insights into specifics.
As a data point with just ceramic magnet drivers, the Aguilar GS and DB series cabs use the same drivers (as best I recall) but have radically different voicing. The difference is designer intent but, imagine what the internet story would be if one used ceramic magnet drivers and the other used Neo. Just a thought to consider...

There's still at least one authorized builder actively making them. But Dave Green mostly moved on to other things a few years ago and when I talk to him the business side of music gets minimal attention.
