That's interesting. I wonder if Greenboy et.al. found a way around the port chuffing with the Crazy 8 or is highpassing just an accepted part of using a cab that small? Really I don't have an actual need to change from the Wizzy 10, as it does a fine job for most of the places I play and is hardly a large thing to lug around.
My MB200 usually stays close to the flat settings for the bass and low mid controls (that's about 10 o'clock and 1 o'clock, right?), but I tend to take the high mids down a touch with double bass as the Wizzy is quite lively in this range. For bass guitar I leave the high mids in there as adds a welcome touch of definition. I don't use any sort of outboard HPF with electric bass, but with double bass I'm using an AKG C411 contact mic, so I use the 80Hz highpass on my ART mic preamp which I think is a simple 6db/Oct type.
