GK rails in a pedal?

I wonder how it responds to touch- the hallmark of the rails sound is that it's a response to digging in hard I think.

Is this clip recorded direct, or with your Zoom H4n again?

It's a HF filter (cut) to simulate tweeter-less cabs.

i'm not sure if i'd do this one as a first build unless you're fairly experienced with etching PCBs and using a soldering iron, but there's always a first time.

you'll also need the -9V inverter.
you also connect Input level 2 to where the Boost Sw2 is noted on the main pcb and replace it's link with a 1uf capacitor

Hey John, I asked earlier about the distortion detector circuit which wasn't shown on the .pdf you posted yesterday... Is that needed as well? And if so, did you build it as a separate PCB or on the main board?

I never built it since, while it's a cool circuit, I didn't find it necessary, especially if you want to mount it in a 1590B since there's no room for it.
if I were to build it, i'd build it on a small daughterboard.

I agree with John that the detector isn't necessary. I thought that there may be some that would want a visual indicator for adjusting the input level for when the clipping just starts to happen.

i'm guessing the transistors are audio specific. do you have a good parts supplier you might recommend? (aka probably not my local frys eh?)
