I'd agree with that. In my (very) limited tests so far, I actually prefer it relatively subtle. Input at about 1/3, output at unity. We'll see how it is in my mix, since this will be my "fuzz" pedal, but I'm expecting good things. I'll be giving in a good run through at volume here in a few hours. Before then, what exactly does the Hi-Cut switch do? I couldn't really tell any difference except one setting (middle I think) made my cab hiss a bit. Again, I'll test at volume and see if I can hear a difference, but I typically don't like tons of treble, so will probably want it "off", whichever setting that is.

I've read the charts, but I'm needing to know which setting of the switch is which. In other words, is "up" a big treble boost, center a "little" boost, and down "off", or what have you? I can't tell what the switch does for the sound in my use so far. Except from the aforementioned hiss, all three switch settings have sounded identical. Sorry if I'm not being clear (or don't understand when I've read through this material and it's over my head to comprehend).

There is no HF boost in this design. The HF cut switch is off (center pos) or the two HF cut frequencies. You will need to ask the builder of the pedal what HF cut frequency is used for the other switch positions (because the switch can be wired either way).

Sorry, wrong word! Thanks for the info, and I didn't even think to ask domdec if his is different! I figured you're using the same schematics and all, but I'll ask him and post the results here in case anyone else needs/wants the info. Thanks as always!

Ok, to put it to rest, here's the result of my switch question: Up cuts a lot, down cuts a little, middle is flat. It had a pretty good impact on the sound (once I was at volume). At lower settings, it isn't prominent. So far, I prefer it at one of the cut options. I'll have to test it in the mix to decide for sure. It sounds great at pretty much any setting, but at lower gain settings you might need to engage the boost to really hear the distortion sounds. Either way, it's a great pedal and goes from nearly clean to raunchy. Should definitely take my fuzz's place, as was the intent. Works well with other effects as well. Specifically, I tried it with envelope filter, flanger and phaser.

In short - great pedal! Don't see mine going anywhere anytime soon!
