Excellent bassist! This Was, Standup, and Benefit are my favorite Tull albums. Really good melodic , interesting bass lines there. He will be remembered . Jim

Man. I just recently became aware of him through his work with Bob Welch in the band Paris. Quite a notable career.

One of the greatest Bassists of the late 60's/early 70's. I have learned many of his Bass lines and they stand on their own as an interesting piece of music.

He will be missed, a great one. I felt that he got a raw deal from Tull, who really developed into the monster that they became with him as a foundation (he was replaced during the sessions for _Aqualung_). Always seemed like a nice guy as well.

Excellent player from that era. We used to listen to "Benefit" when it first came out ( I was maybe 11)and Bouree' was a great, notable track. Yeah, he was replaced by Ian Anderson's childhood friend , Jeffery.

RIP. Always enjoyed his playing on the early Tull records. I saw his band Wild Turkey open for Yes not long after he left Tull, they were excellent but didn't hear much about them after that.

According to the "History Of Tull" DVD Anderson decided to replace Cornick because he (Cornick) was drinking too much. According to the bassist, the news came out of the blue, without any prior knowledge about his fate. Anderson was not even man enough to tell him face to face, but got the manager to do his "dirty work", for which Cornick always held resentment.

My wife (flutist) decided to pull her instruments out of storage and get serious again, and we both thought it would be fun if we could play stuff together. We started here.

A sad day indeed. I grew up listening to Tull and pulling apart his lines and timing. Glenn's timing inspired me to keep playing in my early years. Any time I got bored with bass I'd listen to a track and say to myself - That's how it's done.

So sad... Tull had some great players, but Glenn was my favorite of the bunch.
