They have tried by investing in ethanol. The result is higher corn prices and therefore higher meat prices because corn feed is now crazy expensive so that isn't cutting it. They need to work on hydrogen as a fuel.

Yep, I always thought this was an absolutely horrible idea, it effectively couples our energy production with our food supply, bad bad news long term.

This is an example of the two different "sides" both getting it wrong.

Side A believes it's all about the sun and human activity has nothing to do with it. This is what the fossil fuel industry wants everyone to believe.

Side B believes it's all about human activity and the sun has nothing to do with it. This is what the global warming crisis industry wants everyone to believe.

Those few people who even suggest the possibility that it might be a relatively equal combination of both are being ignored by the mass media - because their own agenda is to give a microphone to the extremes on both "sides", since it's more contentious and controversial.

Polemics rule. They get attention. They don't tend to do any good

When you are a scientist and all your peers are saying "global warming" and you consider if you say no way you might lose your job, most will go with global warming and its our fault.

That's what tenure's for: So you can buck the intellectual status quo and not lose your job.

There is no "both".

The sun will do what it does no matter what we do, we can burn all the coal in the ground and the sun will follow its cycles regardless..

However, when we burn all of the coal in the ground our emissions raise the ambient air temps as proven. Our actions are magnifying the suns activity, therefore, it is our fault.

Obviously "burning all of the coal" is a hypothetical point.

It's not just the Ph level but the rate of change. CO2 levels have been higher in the past but the rate of change has historically been much slower. Current rates are to quick for critters to evolve. Big problem.
