Don't resist! Believe me, the filter-y octave fuzz parts are unlike anything else out there (though yes, you can "get the Brassmaster sound" if that's what you're looking for), and the tweakability is beyond bananas!
I think we have some overlap in effects tastes. You will definitely like the Gnomeratron. I'm getting so many different tones from it and I haven't swapped out any diodes yet.
Heres a shot of it next to a b:assmaster..it's much smaller than i expected.

The pedal is insane...it's gonna take some time to go through it all...it's powerful for sure.
So how is every body enjoying the VTF? Any one want to share more thoughts and/or settings while the rest of us wait for the mail man to bring us our Gnome?
My favorite setting thusfar is:
cleanish at 12, tone at full;
magic off diodes set at LED/SCOTTKY, octave off, filter at 12 - 3;
fuzz vol @ 12, gain @max, gate @ 9 - 12, tone @ 12 - 3;
both trims for clipping maxed, and the other 2 trims @ min.
Sounds great with a passive trib L2500 w/ TI jazz flats.
Into a VT Bass and throgh power amp sounds phenomonal and cut through loud guitar well. Massively bassy and a heavy overdriven fuzz that is powerful yet soothing as well.

There's a lot of stuff going on with this thing and with everyone's different tastes in tone it is difficult to get really elaborate with describing how to achieve different settings with the Gnomeratron VTF. It is a fantastic tone shaping pedal and is giving me some great sounds. I'm looking forward to everyone else's opinions on settings and such with this pedal.
The VT bass alone is killer, but for the songs you want a less vintage feel to, the gnomeratron adds in the anger (thousands of years of gnome repression unleashed!!)
