Oh my, another abandoned club. Self-numbering clubs don't work. This one ended at 4. I went through and assigned club numbers to everybody else who still has a Godin in their TB profile.
I adopted Fresnorich’s number since he sold his Godin. Fresnorich, buy another Godin and you can get your old number back!

any news/pics on the new bass(es) from Godin @ NAMM??
a buddy of mine is heading down today and have asked him to try and get the inside skinny on them... so far, the one sighting seems to be a 3 single coil p/up'd 4 string.

I've had a couple different A4's over the years, great instruments.
The new Ultra models with the magnetic pickups are very intriguing.

I'll have to give up my number for now. I sold my A5 because the string spacing's just too narrow for me these days. I've been using a Lākland and a Fender P5 for the past could of years, and I'm no longer comfortable with the Godin's narrower bridge spacing. I was sad to see it leave, but happy to see it go with someone who's gonna play it.
So, roadkill abandoned his number, can I have #2?!!!!!

I picked up this BG-IV used at a pawn shop [sounds like a broken record but I've had good luck at pawn shops....] and it still had the original price tag which showed $1049.00 + $119.00 for the Godin hardshell case. The pawn shop price tag was $759.99, marked down to $600, marked down to $500, marked down to $400....very tempting.....
But I usually don't buy things without cooling off first, so I left the place and as I was getting into my truck I noticed a huge banner on the side of the building stating "50% all clearance sale" and I went right back in, gave the guy $200, and walked out with my gigging bass, since my Boogie Bodies Bass weighs too much to play all night with....
This thing is nice and light so I hardly know I'm playing it, sounds great with the EMGs, and the Godin finish, well, that's what made them famous: The satin finish is amazing. And the custom hardware is very high quality....too bad Godin abandoned this line.

Good idea, great bass. I had a 4 F acoustibass & currently have
an A4 fretted w/cedar Cognac top.

An update. Offed the A4/SA and snagged another Acousticbass. This one is a 96. Cream White, tan body binding. Same Black matching headstock but with Gold Gotoh tuners. It's very, very light. Much lighter than the congac burst 94. Had to do a bunch of neck work but it's playing great now. I bought it as a backup to the one I bought earlier - paid near to double to get it. These things are scarce as hen's teeth. Now if I can find a fretless!

Here's my Freeway 4. Found it at a local store used for $250. Wasn't looking for a bass, but this one was perfect: sound, weight, feel, everything! It's the third Godin that I've owned. The first was an original Freeway 5 that I foolishly sold off and the second was a fretless first generation Acoustibass that I never clicked with.
I have a godin guitar, can I join?
I must say that godin makes some of the most fantastic instruments out there today. Their lines of acoustic guitars are beyond belief. The art & lutherie ones go for $200 but sound and play better than most $1000 acoustics. The simon & patrick acoustics sell for around $500-600 and I have only played on better acoustic ever and that is a vintage guild that is worth over $4000. Fantastic stuff.

My sister has an art and lutherie.... I'm in love with it. No doubt the best acoustic I've ever played.
Also curious about the Synth Access feature.
I might try one of these, but is this analogous to a Roland type synth pickup, needing the synth controller to work? Or is it not just a MIDI-out that you could drive a keyboard or MIDI sound module with?
I read the entire Godin thread, but I'm not seeing that anyone here is using that feature.
