Pic one.... 500 cubes of brute force and ignorance under that hood. Too bad by the time that particular car was built the engine had been down tuned to meet mid 70's smog regulations. But, in it's heyday the 500 cube Caddy engine produced 425 horses and 550 ft/lbs of torque all in by 2800 RPM..... and it was 100 lbs lighter than a 454 Chevy engine was. The torque curve was darn near flat from idle to redline and while it stuck it's tongue out around 4500 rpm, it tore your head off getting there. Perfect engine for a low RPM grunt motor application.

Pic three.... Some sort of old Ford factory drag car that is likely worth stupid money if it's real and not a clone. I'd like to see a closer pic of the fender emblem to see if it reads 390 or 427.

Thats the first SVX I've ever seen that looks right. Those wheels set it off. I don't think that paint is stock.

I think this is an old Plymouth Fury.

Wow, that brings back memories because my paternal grandfather had the Chrysler equivalent, in a darker shade of green. He actually let me "drive" it through the neighborhood while sitting on his lap when I was about five, which was a huge event for me at the time.

I didn't realize I hadn't noticed what model it was until I was down the block, and didn't want to go back and check.

For a moment I thought it might be the elusive Lotus that some guy in my neighborhood owns.
I only see that one a few times a year. What nice lines the Lotus has.
I'll see if I still have a picture on my phone.

I should start looking closer at the cars I photograph.
I usually just take a photo and leave if the owner isn't there.

If the owner is there, I will ask them about their car.

People who own nice cars love to talk about them. And they should.

Here's my 65 mg midget. I bought it in 1999 and it took just around 13 years to get it nearly done. I have punch list of things to tackle to get it to daily driver status.
