Going for walks, seeing some cool cars.

Hey gang, I've been AWOL from this thread for awhile, but tonight I saw this thick slab of 1970s awesomeness right in downtown Philly, which is truly inspiring. It's a Mercury Cougar, and I remember my grandfather having similar Lincolns back in the day. This particular cat was really decked out, with fur wraps on the seatbelts and--dig this--a naked inflatable doll in the front passenger's seat! Time to fire up Foghat's "Slow Ride" on the eight-track and drive to Vegas.

I don't care how impractical they may be...I love those '70s "land yachts"! I'm especially partial to the Lincoln Continental Mark IV with the opera window:

Awesome! I love it. My grandfather had that exact model with the opera window. He got a new Lincoln every couple of years, and in the late 1970s the trunk liner of his then-current Lincoln caught fire when he was on his way to a business meeting. He couldn't show up to the meeting in a charred Lincoln, and he was now ticked off at the brand, so he pulled into a Cadillac dealer and bought one on the spot to go to the meeting. From then on, he was a Cadillac guy.

Forgive me, because the picture below is not car-related, but I think most of you will like it.
I live near Jamaica Bay, and have a few friends that have boats that they take out almost everyday.
My one friend sends me pictures of fish he caught or planes taking off from JFK or anything he finds interesting.
This brings us to the picture below.
The boat below has 4 outboard motors. I asked my friend, what are they? How many horsepower?
He replied, "300 each."

The reason this caught my eye btw this square body pickup, is the car like front end

with the lights set side by side
both trucks I owned the lights were stacked. I looked around the truck all emblems had been removed, so not sure what this truck is. I figured it's old maybe 80 something judging by the chrome pull up handles and the chrome bumper and grill anyone know that this is?

Looks like a Datsun truck.

Here is my Jeep family, from L-R: Ruby, Rusty, and Bentley. I wasn't really a Jeep lover until getting my wife's Unlimited this past January (btw, it's August already???) Took the fam in 'Rusty' out to a local sand pit that had more water in it than the last time I was there, had water going over the hood due to one of the puddles! Too much fun. The other two are mall crawlers.

Mike I was thinking that as well, but the thing that has been throwing me off was the grill has 3 bars, but I believe it to be a Datsun 720 range 81-86

I see what you mean - almost looks like a touch of Chevy Celebrity in there - but I think Mike is correct. I can't tell if the grille is original, mostly because I'm not an expert on mid-80s Nissans, but it looks like there may have been some hacking there. Or the photo could be fooling me.
