Thanks for the help.. I'm not really gonna drop it, just venting. I was _very_ discouraged, as I had been waiting for my bass to get out of the shop for about 2 months, and now that it's finally done, I see that they haven't done 1/2 the quality of work they had led me to believe they would. It's ok, though, I called them and one way or another it'll get sorted out. Hopefully 
<br><br>Now as for amps, I can definitely tell the WM stuff isn't gonna be for me. It *sounded* pretty good, but like I said earlier.. where was the power? I can definitely see where those who said it was mainly a slapper amp were coming from, as it seemed to sound pretty good for that. So we can strike that one out.. the other things I'm still considering are the Hartke 1415 (or B120, not sure which I like better sight unseen), Carvin PB200-15, and Ampeg BA-115. I haven't gotten to check any out yet, but from what I've read the Ampeg sounds like it'd be more for me, plus I found a place I can get one for $350 new in the box.. that seems like a pretty good deal, right? I'd be ordering it from across the country though, so not much chance to check it out. Like I've said before, though, my ability to try stuff out in person is VERY limited due to my circumstances, so whatever I get is probably going to end up being sight unseen (heard?) anyway. <br><br>Given that, I'm pretty skeptical on Carvin, as the stuff I've read about them on the web seems to indicate that they vary greatly in quality from one piece of equipment to another. Long-term durability is an issue that seems to come up a lot...I also read that they rate their stuff over what it really is anyway, so that "200 Watt" PB200-15 would actually be more around 160-180? Can anybody confirm or deny? At the moment, I'm leaning very heavily towards the Ampeg, as really the only bad thing I've ever heard about them is the hissing from the tweeter (is it really that bad?).. and I have a feeling everything else I'm going to get a chance to try hands on is going to be Peavey anyway. Any thoughts?
