Aside from the gold discussion. Are those the ferrules for the tuners that are painted blue or some other washer or something over them. Looks good on there! Hadn't seen that before.

Thanks, that was a form follows function thing. The tuners were not the right size and the washers they came with were too small to reliably cover the tuner holes so I had to get washers that fit. When well matched gold ones didn't come up I decided to try and find anodized washers, which is what these are. There's a number of places you can find them in a variety of colors but I grabbed these on eBay: M5 M6 M7 M8 M10 Titanium Flat Washer Anodized Color DIN 125A Aerospace Grade 5 | eBay
