That may be true. I see "gold anodize" thrown around, which is not a gold plating.Frankly I doubt anybody plates guitar hardware with "real" gold. Maybe it's just me...
Not a choice I'd intentionally make but I was fine with it on the Epi Allen Woody I used to own.
