That sounds confusing and like work.

Fuzz->LS-2->Whatever

Send A->Wah->Return A (provided fuzz->wah sound)

Send B->Return B (thereby keeps a channel of "unaffected" fuzz)

Set mode to "A+B Mix"

Use A and B knobs to blend

???

On a side note since the LS-2 in mix mode switches to bypass when "off" you switch the wah on and off from the LS-2

QUICK EDIT: Oh, and there are other ways of doing this, but usually require the Wah to have 2 outputs (1 dry, 1 effected) or fuzz to have 2 outputs (both effected). I have done something similar using my B2 for wah and my VBjr to mix.

Do wahs reverse the phase at all? I guess some might. All I know is I can't use myy 442 with my Barge VB-Jr because of phase issues - blending it results in a severe volume drop, especially at the low end. If your Barge has the extra phase switch you'll be ok!

Is the 442 a low pass or band pass filter.

I know from talking to Mario at Robot Factory, the LPF and HPF modes on the 'Wad output inverted phase, but the band pass apparently does not.

How the hell is true bypass gonna help with blending. In all my experience of blending (passive mic mixer, passive stereo mixer, active mono mixer, barge VBjr) the 2 w/o buffers usually FAIL at mixing instrument level signals.

Both the active mixer and VBjr have giving awesome results, IMHO/E because of the buffering of the signals.

I could understand if your concern was as dannybouy's post above you, but phase inversion of a filter has nothing to do with bypass, AFAIK.

Huh. I wonder if thats why my blending attemps with the Dime wah I use to own didn't work out too well :hmm: Thats not to say that my experiments with the B2s model didn't. They did. I think I read somewhere that older wahs would prolly be inverted, but newer ones prolly wouldn't be.

Just stick the fuzz in front of it and the wah in its loop :D

For someone "debunking" something, you seem to have a lack of willingness to provide links or info. Debunking isn't just stating something then telling peeps to "do their homework".

I only told you to do your homework because you stated I was full of "silliness"

without re-posting a bunch of informative links on bypass that nobody ever seems to read, a buffered looper like the LS-2 WILL interfere with the fuzz->wah signal path. This isn't just some hypothetical conjecture, nor is it merely my personal experience - it is electrical principles in action and I hope somebody more articulate in technical matters steps in because it's the weekend and I don't have time to compose a treatise
