Can't help you, but for future reference, you may want to be more descriptive when writing your thread topic. It angers the TB Gods.

I'm patiently awaiting my EH Engima. It supposed to do very nice things.

The 21st Century tone IS a Q-tron. The old, gigantic one if I remember correctly. I'm not a big fan of that kind of tone, but there are a number of filters that can get it. I've used the Qtron, Xotic Robotalk (original and the Robotalk 2) Pigtronix EP-1 and Maxon AF-9 to play that song.

Due to it's small size and organic tone I think the AF-9 is a good one to try out. I didn't use it for that song (which my band no longer plays) but I'm guessing the EBS Bass IQ might be up your alley as well.

I've been interested in trying one for quite a while now but I have yet to see a single one for sale anywhere.

And, they were changed somehow a few years back, (as in, not as good). But you're right. They seem to be nowhere. I lucked into mine, ended my search for the "perfect" filter. Can be set as smooth as a Pigtronix EP-1, and the other extreme makes a QTron blush from inadequecy.
