Good non mainstream punk bands?

That's cool. If nothing else its great that you are exploring. Sometimes its just good to know where stuff comes from. Like, "Janie Jones" was the song that for a long time a lot of punk bands tried emulate in their sound. It may not be something you'd like to listen to now, but its influence is pretty strong in a lot of bands who went on to influence even more bands and so on.

What in the hell kind of clash am I listening to? This song is awesome! I heard a few songs off of London calling and didn't care for it really but maybe I will like some of their earlier stuff

Cool. They might be a greatest hits kind of band for you. Just dig around and see what sticks. Its not required to like the Clash. Guns of Brixton is by far my fave by them and the rest I can go long stretches without ever thinking about. And if you really want to puke, dial up the two Big Audio Dynamite albums from the 80s. It'll put you off music for a week. Scary how brilliant innovators can suddenly suck so bad. Cheers my friend and have fun.

I don't know what the worst punk music I've ever heard was, because I don't remember that stuff and I don't want to think about it.
I don't know if anyone's mentioned it, but the album L.A.M.F. by The Heartbreakers, specifically the 77 mixes, is pretty great. I have a burned copy of the tape mix (which runs fast for some reason) in my CD player in my car, and it pretty much lives in slot 2 permanently. I consider it inspirational music.
Another great album is Dance With Me by TSOL. I highly recommend it. Edit: That sounds like a good idea, I think I'll listen to it right now.

I'm yet another of those horrorpunk peoples so a lot of my stuff comes from specific subsection of punk but I'll list a few I have yet to see...

Cancerslug
Gotham Road
Michale Graves
The Briggs
The Undead
Silent Horror

I don't hate the second coming of the Misfits as much as everyone else and think the whole body of work until Doyle left the band is pretty cool.
