Gorgeous Stingray Special

I don't think there is anything "Gorgeous" about this Bass, actually I think it looks quite bland verging on ugly.The only thing that it has going for it is obviously the way it sounds, oh and also it's weight.

I dig it. Love the white pickup and it has the SLO special neck too. I’m GASing a bit on it. Nice work over at Ernie Ball.

As others have mentioned, it's a lightweight wood ... Okume allows that bass that the good Doc shared to weigh in at a lovely 7 pounds 7 ounces. And with a Slo Special neck, if I had the money I'd be interested, even though it has frets lol.

As for the white, pickup cover, I'd prefer cream, but I could get used to it

Okoume is similar to mahogany but lighter in weight. I have a G&L CLF L2000 with this wood. The figuring is real nice. Check it out.

This is the first Stingray I've ever liked. Simple electronics and natural with a white pickup. Yup.
