Can you get the rat tail to sound anything like the human gear animato?

I have never played the Animato, but I do know when grygrx demo'd it, it was pretty meh. Muse is studio magic and mega effect processing, so I'm sure he could make the just about any crappy effect sound like a $400 boutique dream (I don't think the Animato is crap, for the record, since I've never played one).

The Rat Tail sounds like a Vintage Proco RAT, just with more mods to suit one's needs better!

I have never played the Animato, but I do know 2 people who have owned one and it seems I remember both saying that it has terrible low end response, which is not a problem with the Rat Tail.

I've played one, flipped it right away. Terrible low end response. It's only useful when paired with a Muff (i.e. Muse tone). I can't wait for my Rat Tail

I am rather interested in obtaining one of these beauties.
I've not got a RAT flavored dirt pedal, so this pedal would just be the end of the search for that all encompassing, definitive RAT pedal designed for Bass.

It's an awesome overdrive! I haven't played with it in a couple of weeks, but if I remember correcty I turned both 1 & 2 way down and turned drive up just until it started breaking up. Fat, thick, and gritty. Really, Ryan should put together a smaller OD-only version of the Rat Tail...
