I agree with you for the most part, but recently recieved an Eich T-900 and I am split between them...both exceptional heads.
I use a pair on Schroader Mini 12L's, Genzler NC-212 and a Couple of custom 12's I made a couple of years ago.
I had both the ONE 800 and T-900. I liked them both.
I kept the ONE 800 because of the built in tuner, and the flexibility of adjusting the frequency of the tone controls.

Been wanting to try some lb’s from my load in and still have a ‘one hand’ solution for amps: Just ordered an AT Cube 500 from Bass Direct UK. Hoping it truly was ‘in stock’ and I’ll get some shipping confirmation soon.

I have a Mini One and an 800 One. I went through literally dozens and dozens of heads before I settled on these two. I absolutely love them.
I ordered a pair of the new AT210V cabs over six months ago and still waiting, so availability is definitely and issue.
What sucks is I sold my other cabs to fund the purchase, so I am currently cab-less and without a big rig. And festival season is in full swing here ...

I have a similar concern…hope it truly is available, as I have nothing at this time. Although, not as urgent as your needs.
I think I paid just over £1k for mine. aAT212 Slim, 4 ohm, 900 W. Currently listed at £1199 from my nearest GR dealer, so the price seems to have gone up significantly in the last year, same as everything else.

I recently was in our large used musical instrument shop to trade in some unused gear.
There was a GR 112H that I immediately fell in love with. I've owned a lot of gear and was a recording engineer back in the days of 2" tape so have some pretty solid experience. I like the GR better than most other gear I've owned (including Bergantino) and it was bought for smaller gigs and rehearsals.
For my rock / R&B gigs I normally use a GB NeoX 2x12.
I just had emergency abdominal surgery and won't be able to play for about 1 month but need to plan.
The GB cab will be too heavy to carry.
The question: Does anyone have experience with another light weight 1x12 that might pair well with the GR?
Obviously I should just buy another GR but they seem to be unavailable right now.
As far as volume matching, I could use an SWR head that allows volume control for each cabinet.

I've been using my Barefaced 1x10 with my Mini One and it sounds fantastic. I would expect similar results from the Barefaced 12.
Get the GR Bass AT series. Check with Thomman Export in Germany. They use the model SL (Super light) to diferentiate between the original AT and the newer, lighter AT Series.

There inventory changes every few weeks, so there is some timing involved.
The exchange rate fluctuates about 10% throughout the year too.
If there is something in particular that you want, contact GR Bass directly to see if it will be built any time soon.
The US dealers have been out of stock for awhile.

I have a GR Mini that I really like. Punches way above its weight.
For cabs, I would recommend you check out RevSound. I have a 212T that only weighs about 32 pounds. His other cabs (and he has many to choose from) are all lightweight, reasonably priced, sound great and are sold by someone who loves his work. I like the idea of the 28v and the 210. But last thing I need are more cabs. Call David there and talk to him. www.revsound.net
Another option would be a Phil Jones C4 Lite (if you can find one). I have both a C4 (standard) and Lite version and the light one really is. And it sounds great in small environments or just for stage monitoring. I sometimes use it in conjunction with a Phil Jones Earbox and it really gives me all I need most of the time. But the 212 from RevSound kicks some serious air when I want that.

Club Bass just got a shipment in last week and have another in early may.
Joined the club and couldn't be happier. I had to start looking for a new head when my beloved Ashdown didn't want to play nicely with my new MTD. I was extremely upset as I loved everything about the Ashdown Amos I had. I picked up a DG head locally but it's the second time I've had the same one and it's a great piece but I knew it wasn't my flavor. My next target was a GK, and then I stumbled across a listing for GRBass One and got curious. I really liked the YouTube videos I found and then when I read the feature sets and then saw the DUAL. I again checked a few videos and knew it was the one I needed to try out. Luck have it there was a used dual in the guitar center inventory for a good price so I jumped on it.
I couldn't be happier! The cleans are so punchy and clear, and the drive sections versatility and blend ability eliminates the need for dirt pedals. The tuner could read a little quicker but it works and it's nice to have available.
I'm sure you other owners know already but for anyone curious... They're LOUD! HOLY COW is it loud. It paired up great with my DG 212 cabs which have always sounded great with clear and articulate heads. My head hunt has ended.
When I've bought my GRdual1400, I was torn between the GR and the Eich.
Choose the GR because of the drive/pure function (but that "Dry" knob in the Eich seems like a thing I would dig a lot... ), but mostly beacuse I am italian, and the possibility to talk to mr. "GR" himself at the phone was a nice added value.
I imagine that either amp would have been a great choice.
Are you getting it from John Fox? I'm very interested in this cab. Assume you ordered the AT210V? Thanks and congrats in advance!
Austin Guitars in TX. I've had it on order for awhile. And yes, a pair of AT210V cabs. I have a GR One 350 and a GR 800 to go with them!
