Is there any way to run an eq pedal into a cl so that it works like the eq on a 2 pro? I have a 2 pro and have the opportunity to get a cl, but the only thing stopping me is that it doesnt have a graphic eq.

I have a boss geb-7 layin around i could use. Would it work better run through the effects loop or somewhere in my pedal chain? Ive messed around with using it in my pedal chain and didnt really like the way it boosted things. How much of a difference would it make in the effects loop?
Wow that does look interesting. Where are those available?
Not really, especially now that I know you can turn up the master all the way on the CL and use gain for volume and it behaves much more like a vintage head. Been playing Ampegs 35 years and never owned a tuber with separate gain and master...see, you can be the Ampeg Yoda and still miss a trick or twoanother decision im plagued with is trying to decide if i should go with the cl or this '78 svt they have at a local shop. Should be a no brainer, right? Haha
Ya, the tone circuit on the SVT's have tubes in them, so best not to futz with it.Side point--you say the EQ is to fix low-end loss from other pedals you're using... Rather than adding an EQ, I'd really suggest just replacing the sucky pedals with ones that don't lose any low end in the first place.
Got the svt. Sounds amazing. Im really surprised at how different it sounds than my 2-pro. A lot meaner and up front. Way more grit. Even my bandmates think it sounds better. The guitarist said it sounded "deeper", which is strange because i had my lows boosted more on the 2 pro than i do on the cl. I have all the knobs set exactly the same on both heads (except the graphic eq, which the cl doesnt have of course) and im loving the cl a lot more so far.
