Always loved reading Tommy's monthly article in Guitar Player about sessions.
Anyone here old enough to remember Tommy as a member of "Happy Kyne and the Mirth Makers" on "Fernwood Tonight"? Hilarious show, and Tommy's playing was always a treat...
i'm thinking that it's their humanity that makes them great. this cameo of chuck is all that and more, IMO, very cool...and sweet. and inspirational, coming from him.Even the greats are human!
I just barely remember that show. I did not watch it much.

Rainey has presented at a few of the bass clinic events people do around here. Always approachable and friendly, apart from being a master.Exactly! A humbling story from such a great player! I wish I had two percent of his creativity. And Tommy Tedesco: As Chuck says, kindness is not something you see all the time in the recording studio. What a great guy.
Oh, this is the cultural event to know about, when Tom Waits appeared on the show with Martin Mull and the other guy, notable Tom quotes being "I live at the corner of bedlam and squalor" and "I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy".I just barely remember that show. I did not watch it much.
