Lucille dixon Robertson is definately among the top 10 female double bassist. She was still performing well into her 80's while battling Cancer. You all should see peoples faces when I would tell them my Grandmother is a 80+ year old Jazz Bassist. Rest in Peace Grandma. Love Ya. A.G.

ok, she's drop dead gorgeous, but i'd love to see her play without the singing... she plays great and sings great, but i think she'd still play a lot better if she wouldn't sing

Who cares? I saw/heard her recently and she exuded such arrogance and disrespect for her audience.......pretty shocking. Sure she has talent, education, chops, big hair and stage gestures. But no humility.
