Yeah, Todd was a great producer for a lot of bands, but when it came to producing/engineering his own stuff the mixing was pretty sub-par.Yes, and also one of the worst vinyl pressings ever.
Todd had a lot of poor sounding vinyl in that era.
I was hyped to hear it when it was released on cd... alas, they must not have used the original master because it was a faithful reproduction of the crappy sounding, overly compressed vinyl transfer.![]()
I thought the CD was a big improvement over the vinyl. The ideas and song cycle are really what carry this as far as being a headphone album.
