Great Jazz!

This Fall I am going to be taking another theory class at my local college and although I am not a big lover of Jazz being mostly a blues kind of guy I thought I should pick up a couple of LP's for my high end stereo so I could somewhat understand what I was getting into. I got "KIND OF BLUE" and "GREATEST HITS OF DUKE ELLINGTON" Outstanding stuff, I can't believe how fast some guys can play the Double Bass and it sounds so GOOOOOOD.

Awesome.

I took a "History of Jazz" course during my undergrad days many moons ago. As opposed to my "Calculus 403" and "Analysis of Edwardian Literature" courses, to this day, I have actually retained some stuff from the Jazz course. Still trying to fully appreciate Kind of Blue, but I certainly respect it.

I know many own Kind Of Blue...it's their only Jazz album. I usually suggest this one-

Going down the YT rabbit hole, I came across Rick Beato's Channel...this tune by McCoy Tyner, Elvin Jones, Joe Henderson, & Ron Carter...yeah, it's "only" AABA (like "So What", "Impressions")...but damn, they're enfuego!
