Great Way To Shut A Singer Up

Because its funny. Interwebs = laughter and fun. Not PC behavior.

Welcome to the INTERNET.

No need to welcome me to the Internet - like I mentioned in a previous thread, I'm an IT guy and I've been on the Internet since before the invention of AOL and "Web sites", when the Internet was accessed through a BBS over a dialup connection. I'm on every day, and can access the 'net 24x7 from various devices.

Insults and heckling are one thing, but being cruel was never funny to me.

so are you saying that the guy who threw the shell on stage was being cruel? Because I have a strong feeling that most people would say the Courtney Love was being cruel to the crowd long before she got shell shocked ;-)

I find it quite amusing, as long as it's only meant to be amusing and not some psycho honestly threatening to kill her...

but being cruel to your fanbase isn't funny at all. It's the response that was funny.

Hmmmm... somehow having to describe a joke takes away from it just a bit LoL

Loving this thread, thanks guys!

I found it funny as well. Comedy is in the ear of the beholder, I guess.

Angry Vegan Singer Deserves a hearty S.U.Y.T.'s. If you wanna rant about politics, go get yourself a soapbox and scream at people on the street over by the univ. If you're doing a gig, shut up and sing. Unless of course your music is all about being an angry vegan, in which case no one but other angry vegans will come to the show. But if I show up, I will be sure to bring a cheeseburger to throw on the stage.

Courtney Love Deserves Shot Gun Shell. No one was cruel to her. Honestly, when people go to see her, are they actually going so they can listen to her sing? 'Cause she can't sing. She's just a wasted old junkie who would be working graveyard at the gas station right now (if she could get that good a job) if she'd never knocked boots with Kurt Cobain.

As a plus, both incidents were very funny!!!

Speaking of SUYTs.......I recall approx 30 something years ago when a young n very bouncey Bette Middler played the Uks London Palladium..... Some male fans raised a cloth banner on which was written "Bette, we love your t*ts"

Bette's comeback was to immediately whip both of em out and introduce them to the guys. :)
