Greatest lost Bands that deserved better

Part of my extensive modern funk collection....P-funk crossed with LivingColour. I dig the album. Not nearly the masterpiece of Rise Robots which is impossible to classify cleanly. I call it Experimental Progressive R&B but it could be called Progressive Rap.....Or Industrial Funk....?
Toy Matinee, comprised of Kevin Gilbert and Patrick Leonard (with Guy Pratt on bass), only had one album as well. And it is a fantastic one. Kevin did some solo stuff (and dated Sheryl Crow) before committing suicide. What a loss.
I have always wondered what the hell was wrong with Streets. They sounded fantastic, had killer musicians and strong songs with great hooks. 1 and done seemed criminal to me. Steve Walsh of Kansas fame as the front man? C'mon, what's not to love?
I can feel my mulllet creeping back when I listened to that.....Its too much like Asia and tons of flavorless 80s stuff....bet it was a killer live show as was Asia!
My Dad actually had that Streets album, I can remember him crankin that on the record player on Saturday mornings while cookin up some French toast.... Ahh memories!
I don't know if they're "GREAT," but the A's were a Philly based band who put out a surprisingly good first album (even if the production is totally flat).

This was a great band from Texas that had moderate success and 6 albums in the late 70s and early 80s and they should have been much bigger.

Oh man, I remember seeing these guys in a small club in Florida in the late '80s--they slayed! Yes, the Channel Zero cover was great.
As cities burn- their last album "hell or high water" is an incredible rock album that is one of my absolute favorites.
The chariot- my vote for best hardcore band of the 2000's. They never made it huge, they could healine some tours, but nothing huge.
Botch- created a sub genre of hardcore but no one cares about them.

EDIT: Now I remember! Sea Level did a nice job of covering "Midnight Pass"...check it out.
