Greatest lost Bands that deserved better

Another great band that saw success in the late 70s and early 80s is Mother's Finest. They are still going strong across the southern U.S. I always thought they should have been much bigger everywhere.

No, the name of the band was Mom's Apple Pie

I had a Blue Cheer album with a picture of a grandmotherly lady serving a pie. I don't know if it was a promo or what, but I haven't seen any other copies of it. The song "Aces and Eights" was on it.

I thought the concept of "Eve" tempting us with technology was cool.

Absolutely. Flash was like the other version of Yes with Peter and Tony playing on the first album.

The third Flash album was called Out Of Our Hands. Notice how this album cover has a similar theme to the album cover for Yes Going For The One and Rush Hemispheres, which both came out afterward.

Peter also released a solo album around this time:Two sides of Peter Banks. It was pretty good. I went through a Flash phase a couple of years ago when he passed away.

Saw them as the opening act for the Stray Cats. It was one hell of a show.

Moby Grape. Probably the most talented of the San Francisco bands.

Big Wreck. No idea why they never got huge. They still tour and put an album out last year after a hiatus.
A lot of Canadians know them.

And I'll add Barkmarket to that! Similar vein to The Jesus Lizard. Saw Barkmarket once and was completely blown away. Their live sound was insane!

Thread drift: I spent ~8 years playing with drummer Rock Savage after Barkmarket broke up. He is without a doubt the best drum tuner I've ever met.
