Cliff Burton! Geezer Butler! I will never understand why people hate on Fieldy. He made Korn's sound so damn unique. He had his own style, he didn't sound or play like anyone else. I think people that crap on Fieldy have either never tried to play along with a Korn song, never really listened to him, or are jealous because they can't do it themselves.

I see advice to metal players on here all the time about " if you're guitards won't get/stay out of your frequency- you need to stop playing there...." and then suggest the player move to a more low mid/ mid tone.
This is exactly what fieldy did, only he unconventionaly boosted his highs instead. I'm not a big fan of his either, but I think the utter disdain for him and lack of acceptance of his abilities is unwarrented. He has fairly good technique and plays exactly what is right FOR HIS BAND.
That's all we should ask of any bass player.


That being said.... I didn't see Justin chancellor on there......

Edit: nevermind...I see him at #19.

Must disagree with Nikki Six he was motley crues songwriter can't take that away from him but bass never heard much spectacular from him he could have chops I just never heard them.

Felipe andreolli good pick but "best" is a real gray area you know what I mean is technical ability what defines a player or style. Some great bass players hold back a lot an have a ton of chops just their style of music doesn't call for it.
