The Rams are done, the Blues won't start, we're a couple months from baseball, I hate basketball . . .

They didn't belong in the post season anyhow, the only reason they were there is the last two wins they got in the regular season were against teams that either didn't play ANY of their primary starters (Eagles), or that got into overtime and then realized that it didn't matter whether they won or lost (Jets).

They got lucky and beat another team that backed into the playoffs the first week, but SOMEONE had to win the NFC West. Personally, I think that Arizona would have been better competetion than either the Seahawks or the Rams.

Of course the team that did earn the spot got screwed out of it by the Eagles and Jets. The Jets got their just deserts, the Eagles is coming either next week or in Jacksonville.

I had hoped for a better effort, though. The defense gave up early, and the special teams should be executed at dawn.

Of course they didn't belong in the postseason; they aren't a good football team, but as long as they were there, take a good run at it.

Only 2 NFC teams deserved to be in the playoffs, and fortunately they'll be going head-to-head this Sunday. What a pathetic showing for an entire conference!

Basically agreed, MOST of the NFC teams didn't belong anywhere near the playoffs.

However, there were a couple of teams that belonged there moreso than the Ewes.

You've got to let this dillusional thinking go, Gard. It's sad, really. If the Aints had deserved to be in the playoffs--they'd have been in the playoffs. The fact that you needed two other teams to do something just shows that they didn't do enough on their own. As bad as the Rams looked on Saturday night, they earned their playoff spot--something the Saints couldn't do. Period. End of story. Think of a better excuse, Dude.

Don't blame the Eagles, or Jets, because the Saints still haven't figured out that it's a 17 week season. And, I mean....c'mon.....they were 8-8, and you talk like they were screwed over by the French gymnastics judge because they were paid off by the Russians. Do you think maybe them starting the season 4-8 had more to do with not making the playoffs than anything that happened in the Northeast?

I thoroughly enjoyed the routin' that the Falcons gave to the Hams.

I wasn't too thrilled about the outcome of the Jets game though. I thought Pitt was going to win that one, but for Brein to miss 2 field goals like that is inexcusable.

I didn't think Indy would get beat down as viciously as they did either.

Now, I gotta jump on the Falcons band wagon and pull for them, cause I hate the Eagles and Pats with a passion.

The only team in the NFC south that truly earned a playoff spot is the Falcons. The Jets IMO did earn their playoff slot. They had a decent enough record to make it in without help.

It is what it is. The Rams were an 8 and 8 team for a reason. They weren't very good. Too many holes. Special teams weren't special. Defense was a joke with the exceotion of a game or two. Offense was pretty good, except when Chandler was in. Too many dropped balls, though. Lots of work to do.

But enough about the Rams. Eagles over Falcons and Steelers over Patsies.
