Green Tea?

Hey is your name from the surf break called "Trestles"? You should fill our your profile. :)

Hey Maki,

Yep, you found me out! I used to surf there back in 2003. I love that place. I mainly surfed at Uppers and Cottons. I never did give Lowers a try... It's such an aggressive lineup I doubt I could catch a wave. I live up in LA now so it's hard to make it down to south OC. But every time I drive by I try to catch a glance at uppers and churches.

These days I mainly surf at El Porto or some spots in south ventura county.

Do you surf too?

Yep. I've surfed Lowers many times. I've had a few days where the crowd was much larger than the swell could accomodate, but mostly when I hit it, it's big and firing. Love that wave. I lived in LA for a few years. El Porto is pretty mediocre in my opinion. If you're looking a place to surf in the morning check the piers (hermosa, redondo also has a breakwater that can get fun) but mostly go and surf "Indicators and Haggerty's" over in Palos Verdes. I've had magic sessions at Indicators - locals are not even an issue compared to Lunada Bay (don't surf there unless you getting pelted by rocks). Ventura is awesome too. My folks live in Thousand Oaks. Silver Strand, Hollywood By The Sea, C street, D - street, Santa Clara River Mouth and Ventura Overhead all go off in the winter. Cool... Stoked to see another surfer in the neighborhood. [/hijack]

Back to the topic... May is the official harvest of "new leaf" in Shizuoka area. We've got some special "reserve" leaves shipping to us. Can't wait... Good stuff. :bassist:

Maki, did you ever find that brand info from your wife, or does she know if it can be ordered online?

Crap... I was hoping you woulding call me out on that... She told me and I forgot... :scowl: I just tried calling her on the phone too...:rollno:

Kawa-something. It can't be ordered online. Funny thing is, is she's taking orders with her Japanese friends... I told her to put together a list of what she's selling and I'll create a PDF for people interested. She hasn't done it yet. PM me if you want to try to work something out. :D
