I'll let the Duke o' Rock answer that, since he's built it and got it in his hands. It's not mine but is a special order for an upright player in TN.

That's one of the new single mid, smaller box versions. Those look really appealling. The mid smoothing circuit sounds like something I'd really like as well. Always shy about big mid output in places I don't have an eq knob.

I actually built a F215 that I use as my personal rig now and I am only using it for electric bass (5 string). It's a versatile, heavy hitting cab. The single 6" is plenty to keep up with the two 15s, especially with the new crossover design. I like to get a strong attack when picking or slapping and this certainly does the job. I was previously using a 1515/66 and I do not notice any difference in low end with the F215. It has about 1-2dB less in the sub 60Hz range, but that is easily EQ-able if necessary (but I don't need to). Anyway, that's my $0.02--I would like to hear Mark's too!

There are actually two different crossover designs for the F215s. The one in this cab is made to optimize high SPL upright needs and it really does...I think it's just as good for electric too, for what I like. The mids are smoothed out between 2-4k and the compression driver kicks in slightly lower than a typical fEARful to get more attack out of slapped notes on an upright.
