Is technical skill more important than playing with feel?
I submit they are two sides of the same coin. Certain amount of technical skill is required to play with feel, a certain amount of feel is required for a technique to be solid.

) and I definitely have to remind myself of the times when all the "chops" aren't needed. All the times when I just need to sit back and remember to let the "groove" breathe. 
the best groovers have chops, but the best choppers have a groove.
