Yeah basically any OD pedal should work.Sounds similair to a Boss or MXR, could even be a Big Muff. any of those should get you right in the ball park.

If you refer to the intro bass part, that aint growl in my books... this is just distorted / fuzzed out bassy bass.

Growl, i think is more of a tube-driven low to high mid heavy bass tone with fresh nickel or steel rounds.

You can see on the live video that the intro riff is played on guitar, not bass. When the actual bass comes in, it's fairly clean and deep, not growly.

As for the grungy guitar tone, I'd guess there's octave divider as well as fuzz.
