the other thread ( http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=697028&page=6 ) was too old to edit the original post, so here's a date and location appropriate version.

bunch of new pedals, bunch of new gear, bunch of new TB'ers that have never met. so Matt had the idea for a get together from noon on February 6th in Oakland at the stage room at Soundwave studios.

bring all your stuff and marvel over everybody's gear.

so far Brett from Mono Cases is coming (mainly as a fellow TB geek, but also to bring some cases to check out) and CultRvlTr has talked to Chris at Daring Audio and he might be bringing some stuff for us to salivate over.

CHALLAH!

Yes, I'll be there with some Mono cases and straps.
I'm planning to be there more as a player than a company rep but, I'm happy to demo the gear.
I've got:
Dual Bass Bag
Single Bass Bag
Lull TBass
VT Bass with speaker sim bypass
Dano Cool Cat Chorus
Paranormal EQ
Pigtronix Philosophers Tone
Crown Micro Tech 1200
Highway One P with Mods
Jazz Special Fretless

I think that's it.
I'm in the market for a cab so, not sure what I'll have at that point.

oh shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh*******t. i did NOT know it was the same as the super bowl. hur. that kinda sucks. i stopped paying for tv at my house a few years ago so i forget these milestones now.

is that going to be a problem for anybody? it's not too late to move it to the Sunday the following weekend. i'm not a huge football fan, so it doesn't matter that much to me, but i dig that a lot of people might not want to miss that game.

Original date works better for me. I'm recording the following weekend and won't be able to make it to the GTG if it happens then.

As I said in the other thread, I'll bring:
LDS 15/6/1
Genz Benz Streamliner (if it's shipped - looking likely) :hyper:
my pitiful pedalboard
Zon Sonus Special fretless 5 string

I checked out that Steamliner at NAMM...pretty sick!

Where are you getting that from and what are they charging?

i don't have any fancy amps like y'all, i always run preamp into a power amp buy i'll bring my Dingwall AB I 6 and a MusicMan Sub5 and a butt-load of pedals.

...... that's a metric butt-load too. not a King's. so watch out now!

My favorite Superbowl memory is when I was driving to a Superbowl party during the Joe Montana/49ers era... I was running late and the streets empty; I mean EMPTY.

Anyway, I'm driving down the street and there was these two early teen boys walking down the street with baseball gloves and a ball; this was one of the purest statements of not caring about the Superbowl I've ever seen.

I'll see if I can channel that energy on Sunday.

Besides, this Sunday's games will be the real deal and the Superbowl will be all about the ads and the Black Eyed Peas.

lol. yeah, my brothers are huge Niners fans so i watched some football when i was a youngster. i always loved basketball.

it probably works out fine. anybody that wants to catch the game can bounce around 3 and still get a good chunka chunka gear wobblin's.

woot!

ESPLOSION DL4!!!

yeah, he stripped it down, put in new LEDS, fixed the volume drop buffer problem, made them GOOD switches (thr og one's are notorious for breaking), and added the footswitch at the top that works as a 0-full expression switch. can't WAIT till the lil bugger gets here.

Nice. I replaced the switches on mine. The buffer changeroo and the groovy leds seem like cool beans.

yeah, we went back and forth on the Saturday vs Sunday thing and most people seemed to have a preference for Sunday. i can usually do either, but Sunday means i don't miss a day of work, which means MOAR PEDALZ.

yer. well, i'm sure there'll be another one before too long.
