GTG Oakland Feb 6th

Considering trying to come up from S.Cruz to check out some of this crazy stuff you guys are bringing... Don't have much to offer as far as pedals, my board is your standard EBS Bass IQ, chorus and comp...and my rig is standard SWR fare... I could bring my Veillette Centaur if anyone is interested in checking it out. It's a very fine instrument that I just haven't really bonded with yet... Would be interested in seeing what others think of it... Or maybe even just hearing it played well by someone! Also have a nice Zon Sonus V and a killer Roscoe Sk3005, and an older Warrior if anyone has any interest in checking them out.

Chris from Daring Audio just asked me if he should bring a drummer. I know somebody (was it Behndy?) was talking about bringing one. Do we want/need a drummer or is it better without one?

Let me know and I can get back to him. We gotta get that guy on Talkbass!

I'm good either way. Last GTG there was no drummer, and I realized it made it easier for folks to check out different stuff, and to have simultaneous things going on.

If there's a drummer, there's sort of "one thing happening" - whomever playing with the drummer, playing through whatever particular rig/effect.
Whereas with no drummer, people can more easily circulate, try different gear, etc.

So actually, while I'm good either way, and while I love to play with drummers, I'd vote "no drummer".
Unless the goal is a jam session.

are we THERE YET?

NO. damn it. i feel you.

you know what IS here though?

my Cygnet came home just in time to bump boxes with my new Utter Stutter at the post office! then into Mssr. Postman's hands! then into MY hands! then onto my teeny (mostly) IE board!

yay!!!

...... Brian said they assured him the Year4545 would get here tomorrow. he's excited about it going with the TAFM to the GTG.

YAY AGAIN!!! ACRONYMS ARE FUN!!

i.... don't know if a lamb ever killed a moose tho....

it's the OhNoHo Utter Stutter. it's.... pretty damn fun actually. it's a feedback looper with an oscillation rate that's adjustable via a course and fine adjustment knob. it just MANGLES stuff. hard to scoot away from the setup to get on the interwebs.

and freaking comcast is down in my whole yarea, so it's all 3g iPhone, all the time right now.
