good question about the cab. not sure yet. right now, my only cab is a phil jones C-2. i'll have to consider. i'm not playing out, so no real pressure, but i'd like it to sound great.

I have a C4 cab and love it. It's so tiny and sounds so huge.

You will love it I'm sure. I have a D800+ and am so satisfied. Now the cab? Choices, Choices. Volume, tonal needs? Mesa and Genzler make many good choices for a cab. Enjoy your new head.

I do use one of my cabinets - as a table to put my pedalboard on in my practice area by my desk.

I've "only" owned the D-800, which I sold, and the D-800+, which replaced the D-800 and is now my main gigging amp. Based on my experience, I've got to believe the D-350 was an excellent decision.

I'm in a similar situation. Just starting playing again but here in NYC every place has nice backline, and I don't want to carry stuff. I'm not picky when it comes to amps and I carry my DI for the FOH.

That will make a superb combination! If you're not playing out, it'll be plenty loud and delicious.

i couldn't find my adapter from my TC, so i have a couple on the way. they should be here before the amp arrives.



i've never owned a mesa before, but for me, they've always been the amp to get someday. i used to go to the mesa/boogie store in hollywood and try things out. i also bought a schecter bass there (go figure).

i'm expecting to love the d-350, and your post has me even more excited!

Hollywood store is awesome, that's where I bought my Powerhouse 6x10.

For those wondering if the D-350 and two good 12" loaded cabs (like the GK Neo 112 II) will sound good and be plenty loud, I'll confess once more that the Arlington County Virginia Police thought my rig was plenty loud enough when they responded to a noise complaint at an outdoor neighborhood party I was playing last year.

The D-350 and the Berg CN212 is also a killer rig I've used numerous times at roadhouse/bar/VFW/Legion type country and rock gigs with great success. While I always had a back-up higher power amp with me just in case the D-350 seemed in over its head, the back-up never left the truck on any gig.

The SW112/115 combo is also seriously huge sounding with the D-350. I've yet to find a cab or cabs that the D-350 didn't work well with. My Mesa PH and SW, Eden, Bergantino, GK, and AudioKinesis cabs as well as a buddy's Hartke XL cabs all pair perfectly with that head IME.

I think I want to get one of these too. D350, and two SW 112 cabs. I went D800+, 115, 210 and that's overkill for what I need. I'm just not going to do the volume war gigs anymore, already have hearing damage and what's left is precious. Not that the D350 / 112s can't get loud. Was hoping that a new generation Walkabout combo was maybe coming, but I don't think that's going to happen. Congrats on the new amp!

me, too - i have some hearing drop-off and permanent hissing in my ears from years of volume wars. if i start playing out again, i'm just not doing that anymore.

I don't know what connection your speaker is but the amp is only speakeron. I found out when mine got here, adapter to 1/4" on the way!

The C2 has speakon connections.

Way cool! Mesa was always 'The' amp to have, I went with the TT-800 for the Boogie channel. Now I just need bigger speakers of the same brand...

I believe you will be really happy with your decision.
The 350 is the only Subway that I haven't tried and I'm about to get back into a WD (which is my favourite) (thanks lomo) and I'm quite excited about it after being Subwayless for a year. Finally some gigs happening with a new band again.
I'm sure it'll be fantastic for you. One day I've gotta plug in to a 350 for a taste. I've heard nothing but good things. I'm also afraid that it'll come home with me. Lol.

I envy you a bit. I use an Ampeg svt7 pro and have never liked it. It's too reliable to get rid of, but i would love to have a Mesa setup. (I actually dreamed the other night that it was damaged beyond repair by water.) I want a more rich sound that the Ampeg doesn't seem to offer.
