Has to modified....Prototypes had serial number that started with LL...
K, it is a SB602 modified by a previous owner. The placement of the 4 knob from the output jack is clear indication. It has been well loved, often played all signs point to it being a great bass.
what were the prototypes of?
....not entirely sure, to be honest...I just know in Guild's "dating" chart, there is a section called prototypes and their serial numbers start with LL....
I have seen pics of some weird body styles...and have seen some weird headstocks from them....

I think mine is an SB602 but I'm not sure of the year. the serial is BE100132 and it has active electronics with EMG's, I am the original owner but I don't recall what year I bought it in (kind of a haze back then lol) It has been my baby since I got her, the one bass I'll never part with.
if your bass has a rounded headstock it is a 602, if it has a pointy "80's looking headstock" it is a SB604
