There is one for sale locally here. a 1990 or so in new condition with a nice figured maple top. Is $1000 too much for it? My guess was yes.

warrior joe. it depends on the year and the model. get me a serial number and i will tell you what year it is. if it is an advanced pilot than a 1000 is a bit high but it depends on what year it is. if it is your average pilot than it is definetely too much.

I had a black one with EMG's and it rocked!! I wish I still had it...I too had no idea that there were so many variations, these basses still look great to me!!!
Thanks. I have to get around to taking some pictures of them. I converted the hockeystick model to fretless years ago.
I also have a few Guild Ashborys, a Black, a White and a Black with no binding and a single digit serial number.
Anybody else got Ashborys?

I had the neon blue color. It was an 88 I believe.
BTW, there is a reason in Nashville that most of the studio guys have them- they don't call them the poor mans Sadowsky for nothing.

I don't doubt it, but I've never heard it....

i think the color is called charcoal. i have a really nice flame on the neck similiar to the picture that ceoofevil posted. i am going to try to get that picture up later.
