Well, you may have definitely built your own dog house with this one.i just sprung for a Nash pb-52 and haven’t told my wife, should I feel as guilty as I do?
Yep, the important thing is to have all your cases be the same and always keep an empty one around....Funny you’d mention cases, i’ve got four SKB 44’s and at least one of them stays empty most of the time. Fortunately wifey is very indulgent when it comes to my obsession. She keeps me to a strict one in one out policy which is actually a good thing in terms of actual storage space. In fairness to her she didn’t insist on the in and out thing until my bass room got too full and I started putting stuff elsewhere in the house, there are still times when i use my mad money to buy a bass or i trade some non musical item for one and i’ll stash it in an empty SKB until i can unlaod one. I’m sure she knows when i get up to trying to be slick but with her spending so much time looking after her sister these days i’m sure i’ve slipped in at least two before i got rid of something. Either way i try not to be underhanded but sometimes circumstances dictate a variation in policy. I rationalize it by staying true to the one in one out policy i just sometimes have an incoming for a while before i manage to get one out, that and the fact she understands i’m weak when it comes to certain things and indulges me where those flaws exist.![]()
Having recently acquired a Nash PB63, any guilt you may feel now will quickly dissipate once said bass is in your hands. Time heals all.

Was it as bad as you thought.Told her ohhh boyyyy!
I was gonna say... This all depends on spending habits. If she likes to spend money on her own hobbies willy-nilly, this should be a no-brainer. If money is tight and funds are shared, totally different story.Just remind her of all the shoes she owns.![]()
Each to their own. I have had a couple of Nash basses in the past and liked the work done on them. Way better than Fender's Road Worn which look like rush-jobs.As long as I live, I will never understand the fascination with road worn guitars.
Then don't worry. She gets anything she wants and I never complain
