Guilty Pleasures :(

hella 1725 up, 861 down
Term used to indicate personal superiority. When spoken in conversation, the receiving party immediatley knows that the person saying the word is of a high class because of that person's NorCal roots.
Thusly, if the receiver is not of the same geography and stature, negative emotions arise from envy. A primary example is that of the frustrated SoCal dweller who is frequently subjected to the mighty and humbling presence of NorCalers.
Alternatively, Hella can alert other prestigious NorCalers that they are dealing with a higher species much like themselves.
Sounds bout right :D

Actually never realized it was just a NorCal thing, explains Mr. Fussy-Pants non-understanding of the word.

Hmm, let's see...

Huge Star Wars nerd. And I watch the Clone Wars cartoon.
I enjoy rap. Although I'm picky.
I like the B52s.
Some other stuff I probably shouldn't list here.

And I am in the "laughs at movie/tv deaths" boat. Anyone remember the scene in the Liam Neeson movie Taken where he's chasing someone, they proceed to jump off a bridge onto a moving truck underneath and immediatly get destroyed by another vehicle? I burst out laughing in the movie theatre and everyone was looking at me like I was crazy.

Yngwie Malmsteen and Tony MacAlpine. I think they are awesome, and I would darn near kill to be able to tour with one of them...on fretless, no less. Or Steve Vai. He completes my trifecta.

Oh, and Yanni's "Live At The Acropolis" DVD/CD. Dig it!

Kat Dennings makes that ok man! Keep your head up high... And your eyes about 1/4 of the way down ;)

I really got into watching friends reruns... I nearly choked up when the acoustic guitar song plays on the series finale. Yeah....

Nothing to be ashamed about for liking Yngwie!

Now Yanni on the other hand, the only Yanni fan I've ever know was my Great Grandma....

See *I* agree with you that there's nothing wrong with liking Yngwie, but if someone started a thread about how he gets the bass sounds he does, what strings he uses to record with, or what kind of shoelaces he prefers...guarantee it turns into a bash-fest.

Now Yanni: the only one I like is the Live At The Acropolis...it even has a pretty cool bass solo! Great grandma, ...grumble, f&^EUR$¥£%....
