It is kind of like buying a used car - there is always a reason someone traded it in for a fraction of it's cost.

Returning to your closest store seems like a good way out, if you have a store nearby.

I never buy anything that looks modded, never had a major issue except for awful packing on their end with heavier items. Always got a refund though.

Bummer. I take it you don't live anywhere near a GC? Shipping it back to the store you bought it from seems like a huge hassle... I just returned the Human to my local store.

Yeah, over an hour in each direction, and the it usually takes them an hour in the store, did it a couple times years ago. Now I have to call a store multiple times(this is usually how it goes down) to get a UPS return tag, then call them when I see it is delivered to get the money back or they don't refund(this is always how it goes down). I had one manager call me a few months after I had returned a pedal saying that they still owed me the $300, really spaced on that one...

checked out a trace Elliot blx 80 combo at guitar center north charleston for 99 bucks. it's got the slot port baffle covering the front speaker. anyway sounds like a blown driver. still might be a decent deal for someone, but beware.
